IC Anaerobic Reactor Tower

The IC anaerobic reactor tower adopts internal circulation anaerobic technology with two chambers, enhancing mass transfer with a volumetric load 2 to 4 times that of UASB, featuring a small footprint and low energy consumption, suitable for papermaking, alcohol, citric acid and starch wastewater treatment.

The IC anaerobic reactor tower (Internal Circulation anaerobic reactor) is a new-generation high-efficiency anaerobic reactor developed from the UASB process, composed of two reaction chambers connected in series. Wastewater enters from the bottom and forms strong circulation flow inside the tower through the internal circulation system, allowing full contact between wastewater and granular sludge, greatly enhancing mass transfer and converting high-concentration organic pollutants into biogas under oxygen-free conditions.

Compared with traditional anaerobic reactors, the IC anaerobic reactor tower has higher volumetric loading, with treatment capacity reaching 2 to 4 times that of UASB. With a large height-to-diameter ratio and small footprint, it is especially suitable for enterprises with limited land. The internal circulation is completed automatically by biogas lifting without external power, featuring low energy consumption and strong shock-loading resistance, making it a preferred solution for high-concentration organic wastewater from papermaking, alcohol, citric acid, starch and food processing industries.

Shandong Rihong Environmental Protection Engineering Co., Ltd. provides customized IC anaerobic reactor towers according to the influent quality, treatment scale and discharge standards, complete with a water distribution system, three-phase separator and biogas collection device to ensure efficient and stable operation, helping enterprises achieve compliant discharge and resource recovery.
