Rotary Drum Screen

The rotary drum screen, also known as a rotary drum bar screen, is an important screening device in the pretreatment stage of sewage treatment, used to intercept and remove floating matter and suspended solids in wastewater and protect downstream treatment facilities for normal operation.

Working principle: wastewater flows into the interior of the drum, and the water passes out through the screen mesh on the drum surface. Suspended solids and floating matter are retained inside the drum. The drum rotates slowly to lift the screenings to the top, where they are flushed and automatically discharged out of the equipment by a screw conveyor, achieving continuous filtration and screen cleaning.

The drum rotates continuously, with filtration and screen cleaning carried out simultaneously, providing high separation efficiency and low moisture content in the screenings. It features a compact structure and small footprint, stainless steel construction that is corrosion-resistant with a long service life, fully enclosed operation with no odor emission, and a high degree of automation.

It is widely used for pretreatment solid-liquid separation in municipal sewage treatment plants, industrial wastewater treatment stations, and industries such as slaughtering, aquaculture and food processing.
