Slaughterhouse Wastewater Treatment Project

Project Overview

This project is a wastewater treatment facility for a slaughterhouse, treating the high-concentration organic wastewater generated during slaughtering. Targeting the characteristics of high blood content and high COD and ammonia nitrogen concentration, it adopts a "pretreatment + anaerobic + aerobic" process, achieving stable compliant effluent.

Project Details

Project Background

Slaughterhouses generate a large volume of high-concentration organic wastewater during production, containing pollutants such as blood water, oil and grease, and hair, with high COD and ammonia nitrogen concentrations. To meet environmental requirements, the enterprise commissioned us to build a wastewater treatment project.

Treatment Process

In view of the characteristics of slaughterhouse wastewater, this project adopts a combined "pretreatment + anaerobic + aerobic" process:

  • Pretreatment: bar screens intercept hair and other debris, oil separation removes oil and grease, and an equalization tank homogenizes the wastewater;

  • DAF Unit: removes blood water and suspended particles;

  • Anaerobic Treatment: the anaerobic reactor decomposes organic matter and reduces the COD load;

  • Aerobic Biochemical Treatment: the aerobic process removes ammonia nitrogen and residual organic matter, and the effluent is discharged up to standard.

Project Results

After completion, the project runs stably with effluent quality consistently meeting standards, effectively solving the difficulty of slaughterhouse wastewater treatment and ensuring the enterprise's normal production.
